The Honesdale National Bank (HNB) and their new friend, Blu, are joining the fight against hunger by collecting jars of peanut butter and jelly at each of their office locations throughout their footprint in Northeast PA, now through Friday, May 24.

Blu is the newest member of the HNB family, and he is committed to teaching HNB customers and the local area about money management through saving, spending and sharing. Blu’s eager to bring skills to life through the Bank’s “Spread Smiles with Sharing” campaign to teach kids not only about saving money, but also about sharing money through community giving. Joined by HNB employees, Blu announced his excitement for the campaign to local schools during Teach Children to Save Day on Friday, April 12.

“HNB believes that some of the best investments we can make are in the communities we serve,” said HNB President and CEO David Raven. “Therefore, we’re committed to engaging younger generations about money management skills and how to use those practices to also help your local community.”

Donations will be collected at HNB locations now through Friday, May 24. All members of the community are invited to help HNB spread smiles with sharing through their generosity. Along with a smile for their donation, HNB Kids Savings Club members will also receive an extra sticker on their Kids Savings Club card.
