RE: LSA-Monroe Grant awarded to Greater Honesdale Partnership!
The PA Department of Community and Economic Development with support from Representative Jonathan Fritz, Representative Michael Peifer and Senator Lisa Baker awarded the Greater Honesdale Partnership $90,000. to hire a Downtown Revitalization Consultant. The scope of the consultant’s work will include Streetscape Designs, Façade Improvements, Strategic Planning, Downtown Master Plan, Gateway/Signage Planning, Alternative Transportation Planning and Vacant Property Solutions. GHP is looking to further the initiatives of improved infrastructure, updated sidewalks, blithe facades, and replacing broken electric poles on Main Street. The Request for Proposal will be advertised in the News Paper and on the website.
The Greater Honesdale Partnership has also adopted a new logo and slogan. The purpose of this revision is to represent the business side of the organization. GHP is in discussions of having a logo completed for the town of Honesdale to represent the art, tourism, outdoors, train and history. This is a big undertaking as there are so many key ingredients that go into such an amazing town.
