Thumann Physical Therapy, GotSneakers & Crossroads Alliance Team Up
August 13 @ 8:00 am - October 1 @ 5:00 pm
“In the spirit of environmental and economic sustainability, Thumann Physical Therapy has partnered with GotSneakers, a sneaker recycling organization, which will compensate up to $3 for every pair of wearable athletic sneakers. There is NO limit to the amount of money we can earn! 100% of proceeds will be donated to Crossroads Adaptive Athletic Alliance, a non profit building a stronger community for adaptive athletes and their coaches (crossroadsalliance.org).
After the sneakers are collected, GotSneakers will process and distribute these sneakers around the world, specifically within impoverished nations. It is estimated that over 300 million pairs of sneakers are thrown away each year in America’s landfills and that over 600 million adults and children live barefoot. We can touch the lives of thousands by simply cleaning our our closets and collecting our unwanted sneakers.
The request is simple: clean out yours and your family’s closets of all unwanted paired sneakers. You may drop them off at one of two locations: Thumann Physical Therapy, 198 Delaware Street (located within the Garage CrossFit building), or at the Wayne Conservation District within the Park Street Complex (the old Stourbridge school). You can also contact Anne Thumann at 570.470.6662 or firstname.lastname@example.org to make other arrangements.
